TxDot Building 7 started out as a warehouse and was converted into an office space with new restrooms, break rooms, private offices and open workspaces. In the process of the transformation, we demolished and replaced all mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. New structural framing allowed for the installation of windows and the building was brought up to code by the erection of two structural staircases. The office areas were created to be flexible workspaces with the interchangeability of the modular walls installed. Other items installed included new flooring, fresh paint, updated ceilings throughout, as well as the integration of an advanced security system and access control measures.
